Travel – Convenient Airports (sorted by closeness):

• East Midlands Airport (EMA) – closest, shuttle bus (25min) to Nottingham

• Birmingham Airport (BHX) – major airport, train to Nottingham (1hr15min) or Uber (£80) 

• Manchester Airport (MAN) – train (~2hr)

• London Luton Airport (LTN) – train (~2hr)

• London Heathrow Airport (LHR) – main UK airport, underground (metro) or train to e.g. King’s Cross/St Pancras train station, then train to Nottingham (2hr)

• London Gatwick Airport (LGW) – train (~3hr)

Recommended hotels.

NOTE: The venue at the University of Nottingham (UoN) University Park campus is about 20 minutes (tram / bus) from Nottingham's City Centre.

So, essentially, there are two options:

To stay in a University Campus hotel (surrounded by lots of green parks), or to stay in a Nottingham city centre hotel (surrounded by lots of shops, cafes, and restaurants).

(Or split your stay amongst several hotels 😉).
